MTF LENEVA ADIPOSE INJECTIONS FOR FAT PAD ATROPHY AND WOUNDS

LENEVA ALLOGRAFT ADIPOSE MATRIX WILL BE USED IN VARIOUS TISSUE RECONSTRUCTION PROCEDURES

What is Leneva and What is it Used For?

Leneva is an all-natural and extracellular adipose matrix developed to be used in various tissue reconstruction procedures. It can be used in the patient’s tissue reconstruction process and offers an extracellular adipose matrix that acts as a scaffold for patient cells to create new fat. Produced from donated human adipose, Leneva is aseptically processed to help final adipose matrix maintain sterility and the structural integrity of the tissue. Leneva injections can be used to treat a wide range of conditions, including: diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers/calluses, tunneling wounds, and fat pad reconstruction procedures for pain, bony prominences, and shoe gear irritation.

After Care from PRP Injections

After Leneva injections, patients may experience soreness and aching for several days, which is a sign that the healing process has begun. Over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medications may be taken if needed to help alleviate these symptoms. You can return to work and other normal activities 3-5 days after the procedure. You are typically placed in an offloading surgical shoe for about 2-4 weeks following the procedure. Heavy lifting or strenuous activity can be started approximately 4-6 weeks following the injections. For many patients, Leneva injections offer significant relief from pain and other symptoms. The injections also help heal area of significant pressure which can lead to calluses and wounds. This treatment also promotes the healing process and allows patients to return to their normal activities faster than with some other nonsurgical treatments.

Is the Procedure Safe?

This is a safe and clinically proven solution to help with foot pain without steroid injections or surgery. Leneva is also FDA approved. There is always a risk of infection with any type of injection, but most patients undergo this procedure with no problems.

How often is Leneva done?

After the first treatment, patients are seen for a follow up in 4-6 weeks. It can take about 3 months for the injection to fully incorporate. Depending on activity level, the average length of time for the injection to last is about 2 years.

Leneva Pricing

Most insurance companies do NOT typically pay for Leneva procedures. If your insurance should apply any amount of those charges to patient responsibility (copay, coinsurance, deductible, etc.) then you will be responsible for those charges. The price of the Leneva covers the cost of the injectable, processing, Local Anesthesia, and the actual procedure of injecting the Leneva.

One of our providers will assess your condition and determine if Leneva is the right course of action for you. East Point Foot and Ankle offers both traditional and innovative alternative treatments. Call us at 413-525-5200 or request an appointment on our website to get started today.
