East Point Foot and Ankle, P.C. is founded by two Board Certified Foot and Ankle Specialists who have been a part of the community for 10 years with over 12 years of experience. This state-of-the-art facility is equipped with an in-office procedure suite and x-ray available. We offer conservative and surgical management of all foot and ankle problems. We specialize in forefoot and rearfoot reconstruction.

DR. KAYLA O'MALLEY, DPM, AACFAS

DR. ELIZABETH SCHWARTZ, DPM

Dr. O'Malley was born and raised in southern Maine. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Maine with a degree in Microbiology. She then completed her medical training at Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Independence, OH. Following medical school, she completed a three year reconstructive surgical residency at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, MA where she served as the chief resident in her third year. 

Dr.O'Malley has surgical interests in achilles reconstruction, flatfoot reconstruction, foot and ankle trauma, diabetic limb salvage, and forefoot deformities. She has specialized training in certain bunion techniques

including Lapiplasty and minimally invasive surgery. 

Dr. O'Malley is a firm believer in patient education and building trusting relationships with her patients. She personalizes her treatment plans with a focus on conservative management before most surgical interventions. 

Dr. O'Malley is an associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery and a diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. 

She was awarded Top Women in Medicine for Podiatry in Western Massachusetts in 2020. 

In her spare time, Dr. O'Malley enjoys rooting on all New England sports (Go Pats!). She also enjoys spending quality time with her family especially her husband, sister, and two dogs, Rudy and Darby.   

Dr. Schwartz is a foot and ankle surgeon originally from Eastern Massachusetts. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Hartford with a degree in Biology and a minor in English/Philosophy. Dr. Schwartz then completed her medical education at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City. Her three-year residency was focused on forefoot and rearfoot reconstruction at Metrowest Medical Center and Tufts University. She served as chief resident in her 3rd year of residency.

While in residency, she participated in mission trips as part of Operation Footprint- The Baja Project in Honduras. Operation Footprint sends surgical teams to Central American countries to perform surgery, deliver medical supplies, and to train local physicians and nurses in the diagnosis and treatment of clubfoot and other lower extremity deformities. Dr. Schwartz also was an active participant in research as part of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

She is licensed in both Massachusetts and Connecticut. She has been an active part of the community for over 10 years, where she served as the Chief of Specialties for two years at her previous organization. Dr. Schwartz is a diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and is qualified in forefoot, rearfoot, and reconstructive ankle surgery. She is also an active member of the Massachusetts Foot and Ankle Society, American Association of Women Podiatrists, and the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons .

Dr. Schwartz has conservative and surgical interests in bunions and forefoot deformities, diabetic reconstruction, flatfoot/rearfoot reconstruction, and foot and ankle trauma. She has specialized training in ankle arthroscopy and minimally invasive surgery. 

​While she has prided herself in forming lasting relationships with her patients, Dr. Schwartz commits her focus in patient education regarding their conditions and management. 

In her spare time, Dr. Schwartz enjoys boxing, going on hikes with her husband and dogs, cooking, DIY home projects, and writing poetry. Her favorite pastime is being with her husband, her dogs Sammy and Shelby, and her cat Slinky.
